Private Sector Job Opportunities

Jun 16, 2026

Making the transition from law enforcement to the private sector can feel overwhelming, but one of the best ways to understand what is possible is to look at real opportunities that are currently out there. The roles in this article show just how many different directions officers can go depending on their background, interests, and career goals. Some of these positions are directly connected to investigations, security operations, crisis management, asset recovery, workplace violence prevention, financial crime, compliance, and event security, while others offer a pathway into broader corporate risk and business support roles.

What I like about this group of jobs is that they show there is no single “right” path after law enforcement. A detective may be drawn to financial crime investigations or asset recovery. A patrol supervisor or command-level leader may be interested in corporate security, crisis management, or workplace violence prevention. Someone with strong report writing, policy, research, or project management experience may find opportunities in risk and compliance. The key is learning how to translate your law enforcement experience into the language private-sector employers actually understand.

That is exactly why I created the Private Sector Ops Plan. Officers who enroll receive a professional resume, cover letter, LinkedIn optimization, a private coaching call, lifetime access to my private community, and lifetime access to my online course. If you are looking at jobs like the ones listed below but are not sure how to position yourself, what roles to pursue, or how to explain your experience outside of law enforcement, this plan was built to help you make that transition with a clear strategy instead of trying to figure it out alone. For reading this article, I'm excited to offer you $100 off this fantastic program. Learn more here: https://www.recruitingheroesllc.com/offers/77UQWox9/checkout
