10 Jobs Perfect for Law Enforcement Officers

Aug 25, 2026

Some excellent opportunities have opened for law enforcement professionals during the past few days. These include positions in criminal investigations, healthcare fraud, financial crime, intelligence analysis, corporate investigations, insurance fraud, and surveillance. The list also includes opportunities at several experience levels, from field investigators and intelligence analysts to an investigations manager and SIU director.

Several positions provide a particularly direct transition from law enforcement. TRM Labs is looking for a federal law enforcement investigator to help combat cryptocurrency-related crime, while Capital One is hiring a financial crime investigator. OpenLoop, Centene, and SCAN Health Plan have management-level opportunities for candidates with experience supervising investigators, directing complex cases, and developing investigative strategies. There are also field investigation positions that could be strong options for officers and detectives taking their first step into the private sector.

For nearly four years, I have helped law enforcement professionals identify careers like these, translate their experience, strengthen their resumes and LinkedIn profiles, prepare for interviews, and position themselves effectively for private-sector employers. More than 800 local, state, and federal law enforcement professionals have now trusted Recruiting Heroes to support their career transitions.
